Our Love Story

We met on a blind date and were married 3 months later. Love at first sight - YEAH! we definitly believe in it. They said it would never last (who are they anyway?) but 3 kids (all boys), 28 military moves and 35 years later, we just laugh at the notion.

Photography became our passion when we moved to North Carolina about 12 years ago and our joint business venture soon after. At 1000 Words Photography, our subjects are the daughters we never had, the grandchildren we pray for and the young people who used to fill the house when our boys were young. We love what we do and we think it shows – photography and our clients keep us young! More importantly, like everything we have done over the past 35 years, we get to do it together.
